My 5 Favorite Ideas to Make Extra Money

There are literally hundreds (if not thousands) of ways to make extra money to help solve your cash flow problems. It may seem silly, but no matter how many people post about XYZ number of ideas to make extra money, I still never tire of reading these types of posts.

Why? Well it’s probably because I’m always looking for new and easier ways to make more money. I’ve never been a fan of spending less, obviously, so instead I have to look for ways to make more.

Here are 5 of my favorite ideas to make extra money, some real and some imagined. 🙂

Food Taste Tester

Is this one for real? I’m honestly not sure. I’ve never seen an ad for a job like this, or believe me I’d be all over it because I freaking love food!

Maybe instead of complaining that it doesn’t exist, or that I haven’t found a taste tester job, I should rejoice. Because we all know my pants would no longer fit if I got that job.

Professional Personal Shopper

Being a professional personal shopper would also be something I’d rock at! I love almost all types of shopping and I think it would be even more fun if I could shop all day with someone else’s money and get paid for it. I mean think about it, are there any potential downsides to being a professional personal shopper? None that I can think of!

Personal Organizer

This one is also a possibility and I think you could make some good money as an organizing professional. There are TONS of people in the world who need help organizing their homes and it could be a pretty fun career. One of the only downsides I can think of is if you had to deal with someone who is a disgusting slob, rather than just a regular, run-of-the-mill disorganized person. I would not want to deal with anything disgusting while organizing people’s homes or offices.

TV Watcher

Slackers of the world be aware: Netflix has made this career choice a real possibility. Now you can get paid to watch TV and movies all day! The only time this job would suck is if you had to watch shows you weren’t at all interested in. After all, not every movie is a hit.

Freelance Writer

As a freelance writer myself, I can personally tell you there’s good money to be made as a freelance writer on the internet. But first you have to have at least a little bit of talent and knowledge of the written language.

Luckily, there are plenty of websites and training courses you can take to help you learn how to become a freelance writer, like this one with thepensters.com.

The best thing about being a freelance writer is that you can work from home in your pajamas, sans bra, and no one will be the wiser. I’d call that a win!

Can you think of any other great ways to make extra money? Have you tried any of these ideas?
